Autopia is messing with my head !!!

After watching David Bynon's :bow porter cable video last night I went to bed and.......dreamt about David Bynon showing me how to detail and use the porter cable !!!

I was slightly disturbed by this ( no offence David ) so I had to go out and re-wax the car.

I park in the local supermarket car park and I noticed several people turn their heads at the car. I must admit it had a shine and a half which made me extremely proud.

And this ladies and gentlemen is why I am proud to be an Autopian, my car is different from all the others because it is 10 times more shinier.

An idea, we ought to get some Vinyl stickers (white, silver) to stick on our back windows or somthing with the autopia logo and website address.

Puts the website in the publics faces and gives us somthing else to 303.

What do you think guys? :nixweiss

when i click the link, i just get a bunch, and i do mean "bunch" of letters and symbols(reminds me of towels..., seems EVERYTHING reminds me of towels nowadays, LOL!

I got a page written in the Vulcan alphabet too. It eventually changed to a bunch of coloured stripes, but that is not something I like seeing on my monitor.

Gee, I wonder why that made you think of towels... Didn't make me think of towels. LOL

You guys are probably having a problem because you don't have a video player plugin for your browser that recognizes the .wmv file. Right click on the link, hold down the Shift key, and click Save Target As. Save the movie into a folder somewhere, (wait till it finishes downloading ;)) and then watch it with Windows Media Player. :xyxthumbs

I play it when I want to detail, but can't. :D

You guys crack me up.

But seriously, has anyone thought about the autopia decals for our back windscreens?

DavidB and his "Associates" Are working on stickers and all kinds of Autopia stuff, Just keep your eye out for the goods....:)

Hey, if you make a little window sticker (preferably the non-sticky-residue kind that somehow adhere by friction or whatever), count me in for one. Even though I've been on the Autopian "inactive roster" for a while, I'm back doing some posting and I haven't lost my detailing obsession!

(Sorry, no dreams about it, though... however, I do recall dreaming about detailing in the past when I first started.)

Hello again Chuck! :wavey

BTW, I mentioned the stickers idea on another thread a couple months ago - I called it! :D But seriously, I think the exterior mount stickers would be the way to go, especially for people with tinted windows (or plans to tint ;)).

I think a sticker on my window that reads "Autopia" would force me to always keep my black car spotless. (Not to mention keeping those friggin' rims clean of the notorious BMW brake dust.) We all get a little lazy sometimes, but a sticker would be just the motivation I need to pry myself from the couch on those lazy days.

I have to admit, that the thought had crossed my mind that I would have to keep the car clean if it had Autopia sticker in the window.

I vote for the kind that stick without glue (like my CAA sticker).
