After reading up on all the information provided by this forum and purchasing some of the products used by most of you, I was finally able to put this information to good use. I cleaned the wheels and tires with EO's Tire Cleaner and All Wheel Cleaner, then finally washed the car with Eagle One Car Shampoo. I must admit that even though I have always taken care of my vehicles, I have left a fair amount of swirl marks on the Bullitt. Since I do not have a garage or very much shade, I waited until early evening to put my new found knowledge to work. I only detailed the trunk lid using the following:
Mothers Clay Bar
3M Rubbing Compound
3M SMR
GEPC
P21S
With the avaiable sun light left it appeared I was able to remove most of the marks. Running my finger tips across the finish I could feel how nice and smooth this process leaves the finish. I also own some car wax from a company called IBIZ. On half of the lid I added an a coat IBIZ Car Wax. Their product is applied just like GEPC and P21S, wipe on, wipe off. Although it does leave residue on trim, it is is easily removed with a damp rag. I did notice on the side I applied the IBIZ Car Wax the finish was slightly more slick.
This morning I took a better look and I could see that there were still some swirl marks left. I at least I started down the Autopia road.
P.S.
Has anyone else used anything from IBIZ www.waxnwax.com. They are certainly easy to use and both their Waterless Wash & Wax and Car Wax contain carnuba. :wavey
