Autoglym Super Sheen

Richt very kindly let me try this tyre dressing at the weekend and I thought I'd post a brief report as the car's since covered close to 500 miles in a mixture of warm sunny weather and heavy rain, minor roads and motorways.

In appearance it's a slightly oily feeling clear yellow liquid. I applied to tyres previously cleaned with Virosol using a foam hand pad. I then applied Z16 as a topper without much hope of this product lasting (see my previous thread)

My before shot's not that good as I was concentrating on the paint instead :o

This was taken today after the aforementioned journeys and I'm SERIOUSLY impressed.

Glad its Working.

The product I gave you was Autoglym Rubber Plus.

Super Sheen is the one which is the same as Vinyl and Rubber.

Vinyl and Rubber Care. Not bad on tires but the effects aren't long lasting. Try AG Instant Tyre Dressing for a longer-lasting effect.

Rubber Plus is a different product to Vinyl and Rubber, and its a trade range product.

Shop brought Vinyl and rubber is the same product as Tyre Dressing but without the Lemon smell. The trade version off this product is Super Sheen -17. Which is identical to the Vinyl and Rubber, but sold in 5 litre sizes.

Rubber Plus cleans and gives a semi gloss look. It is more weather proof than any off the above 3. I use this topped with Super sheen.

Are you in the trade or know where to get trade and bodyshop AG?

I'd sure like to get hold of a tin of Super-Glym Polish and Powermax 3!

Not in the trade Im afraid, but with a freind we buy a fair bit off AG, so the local trade guy comes to us with his van! He call in to my mates factory once a month or so.

I have some Super Glym here, not impressed tbh. The sell is as Super resin with no cut but its not as easy on or off. Can send you some up if I can find something to put it in if you like?

Not sure which Powermax we have at the moment on the go will have to ask Rob my mate if he has any.

Alternatively you may be able to get it yourself. We phoned up the local distributor ( found on the AG site) and he agreed to come to us.

I'll be interested to see how Rubber Plus lasts. I'm currently using Bumper Care on my tyres as well as external trim.

Rich, if you get time could you list the trade versions of the consumer range. With my simple mind I find the trade names very confusing

No Probs Lowe. These products are all identical IMO

Super Resin polish - Radiant Wax 12

Extra Gloss Protection - Liquid hardwax -1

Vinyl and Rubber - Super Sheen 17

Probably the same guy, I'm in Evesham. :)

Argh, no thats a differnet guy. There is one guy that does the Evesham area, one guy that does the Wilts/Glos area. The Guy that comes to us is from Hereford and does the South Wales area, but also does Ross on Wye where my friend works.
