You'll be amazed at how well the windshield comes clean (and how easy it is). I've used AG, AIO, and VM inside and outside of the glass. They are all very easy to apply and remove--just work until it's almost gone. AG seems the most abrasive of the three to me.
*edit* This is all a no-no if you have any tinting, of course.
