Auto Detailing ad on ebay...

Gawd that font is absoultly nausiating.... uke:

Agree 100%. Seems like a half hearted attempt to drum up some biz.

I get the feeling maybe alcohol was involved at the time the ad was created?

And I like how if you go to his page none of his services are anywhere close to $2600. I don;t think if you add them all up together it comes out to $2600 so what exactly is he trying to sell for that price?

Hype?

I'm still trying to figure this one out. Did he accidentally add one too many zeros on the price?

$260 an hour is going to lead to another 26 page thread here on autopia about burned trim.

It would require a crew of 5 competent autopians working at one time to justify the price.

we cant shoot him down for trying something new right? Who knows if anyone will actually bite on it(highly doubt it) but, it only cost .10 to try...but if he was smart he would do it differently and not charge an outrageous price...

I have doubts about a potential customer looking on ebay for a high end detail. I have been detailing for about about 10 years, and I have never found anyone willing to part with $2600 for a detail (still hopeful :) ). I browsed through that thread about the hack job done on that Lambo, and I do find some fault with the car's owner in not doing due diligence on the detailer before shelling out a couple grand for the detail.

The ad might just find a willing customer (sucker) if it was a more dynamic ad filled with before and after pics and maybe some multimedia (video clips) and press releases about the detailers abilities. I can't fault the guy for trying, but I would think putting out an ad like this could be more detrimental to your business than helpful.

I do not think this guy really thought this through before placing the ad.

It states 10 hours of "detailing".

Send him to a used car lot with 40 cars. For 260 per hour, he should come equipped with 15 workers....

Or is he the new "mater-bater" detailing? $2600 for 75 worth of work?
