I had to pick up this Audi 12cyl to bring it to my shop, its really a smooth ride. You can't even feel it shift its just a full blast of power. Pure luxury on the inside I think its nicer than a Benz. paint was a pleasure to work on.........

How did you find the paint on that particular car? I've had some "difficult to deal with" "BMW-like" clearcoats on Audi's that are extremely tough to tackle....

I didn't have a paint thickness guage but it responded well with the polish...kind of funny, when I was at a light, an M-3 wanted to play a little., I didn't test it obviously it wasn't my ride, I wonder how it would keep up with it. audi is a little heavier.

Here it is...

The VW is spelled Phaeton. Looks good! :2thumbs: I love a black sedan!

You couldn't feel it shift, because it doesn't, LOL, it has a CVT transmission that works on a pulley system, and gradually stps up the size, does it seemlessly........beautiful ride, I bet it was a dream to drive, and uberfast to boot!!

Looks nice and wet as well, great detail work!!

Yeah, I think I would be uber excited to drive $120,000 in and out of thier garage, rather than out of the driveway. LOL. I have detailed (lightly) one exotic, a beautiful silver Lotus Esprit, I begged the owner to drive it to my house for me, he was too busy, so I gathered up EVERYTHING and did it at his house.

The Multitronic, aka the Audi CVT doesn't have the torque capacity to handle the W12. It can be found only on smaller V6 powered versions. Theoretically it is a nice tranny, but in reality there are lots of problems with the pulley system. It is a chain driven CVT, and the chain can destroy the pulleys and when it breaks, the whole pulley system must be changed (at least according to Audi). Looks good on paper though.

This particular car not, but the ceramic brake package is available for the W12 A8s and the S8s. 380 mm discs at the front, 356 mm at the rear - with 19-inch (or bigger) wheels only.
