Audi A8L 4.2

This is my mothers NEW car. This car was super clean and in very good condition, nothing how I was expecting a new car to look like coming from a dealer, maybe is that hard Audi clear. It had a few light strays hear and there that quickly ghosted when direct sunlight would hit (glare). My Brinkman dual xenon couldn't even pick it up. The interior was perfect. All the interior got was some Meguairs Interior Detailer.

Its just fun sometimes to make good cars, look even better with that extra touch. To be honest I was only planning to just slap a coat of Collinite and leave it be. I got carried away after claying it and decided to just go ahead and do my thing.

Exterior

Wash with Hyperwash

Clay Paint and Glass

Polish with Optimum Polish w/white polishing pad via Makita 800rpm,1200rpm,800rpm.

Zaino AIO

Zaino Clear Seal

Zaino Z8 wipe down

Wheel wells got Meguairs Hyper Dressing 4:1

Tires got Meguiars Hyper Dressing 1:1

Next Up is my girlfriend's 325i

She's had it for about 18 months now and she absolutely loves it. Been maintaining it once a week. It was last polished 2 months ago via Optimum Polish. It had some #21 which was still very very strong, and weekly Poorboy's SnG wipe downs.

This time all I did was add some Nattys Blue. I don't know why, because normally I hate applying paste waxes, and do not like trim staining precautions, dust attractions, and low durability (in comparison to HD sealants), but this time I just felt like bonding with the car. in return I got a look that only a carnuba can add. A deep glossy, wet finish.

Natty's Blue on Sparkling Graphite.

I just noticed the dust around the emblem. I'll take care of it next wash.

Look at my car in the back! :Cough:380lbs of torque to the wheels:Cough:340whp:Cough:

Those are both nice, but of course my attention was captured by the A8 ;) Good choice of car, and *man* is that good looking wood on the interior  Glad to hear it came through the delivery process without any serious issues. Now if you could just get mom to let you debadge it :D Think how that trunk lid would look with only the Audi rings!

Thats exactly how I have my sisters A4. Only the Audi Rings.

My mother was coming from a 750Li. She absolutely loves the A8L way more. Looks, ride, feel, drive, ect. The full Air Suspension is awesome (Dynamic-when you want a stiff sporty ride or Comfort when you wanna be sailing), and for what she uses it for, its perfect and practically made for her.

Two nearly new, beautiful, glossy german luxury cars...it doesn't get any better!

That A8 is stunning, don't see too many of those around my area. Love the interior.

Both look great! :)

Cool :xyxthumbs I first got the idea of doing Audis that way from my dad's old V8, which came that way from the factory. Nice and understated (and actually better looking in most people's opinions than my S8 with *nothing* on the trunk lid).

Yeah, I bet she likes it a lot better. Was her 750 one with i-drive? If so I bet she finds MMI easier to use.

I find it interesting how many women (including some elderly ones I know) find that the Audi V8/A8s (of various vintages) are just *perfect* for them. Some people probably wouldn't think of them as a "woman's car".

Yea, MMI is a lot easier for her than iDrive. But you also have more control over the entire car with iDrive, there is just a learning curve.

The V8 has a very linear powerband, so so smooth.
