Audi A4 S-Line Cab + Infiniti FX45

Worked on these (2) 2007 vehicles this past Sunday. Both posed unique issues that needed addressing and both turned out quite well.

The first was a 2007 Audi A4 3.2 S-Line with just under 6k on the clock. Had been detailed about 2 months ago by another detailer (notice the rotary holograms), the protection was non-existent. I was instructed to perform a "mini-detail", basically a winter protection package. We'll tackle this car in the spring and get her swirl free. My finals were:

Interior

- Folex to clean carpets, mats, leather, vinyl, plastic, rubber

- Zaino Z10 to condition leather, vinyl, plastic, rubber

- Stoner's Invisible Glass on all interior glass

- Plexus Spray for the nav screen and gauges

After

Exterior

- Zaino Z7 Wash

- Zaino Z18 Clay with Zaino Z7 Wash as lube

- EFHI 2:1 to clean wheels, tires, wells, exhaust

- Zaino Z-AIO to clean exhaust pipes

- Zaino Z5 Pro (ZFX'd with 2 sprays of Z8) on paint, glass, wheels

- Zaino Z16 on tires

The FX45 posed the typical outdoor vehicle symptoms; fallout, swirls from the automatic car wash, and general filth associated with morning dew. My finals for the exterior were:

- Dawn Wash

- Zaino Z18 with Dawn Wash as lube

- EFHI 2:1 for wheels, tires, wells, exhaust

- Menzerna PO106FF via rotary and LC Orange Cutting Pad @ 1500 rpm

- Zaino Z-AIO on exhaust tips

- GR-40 on trim

- Zaino Z6 wipedown

- Zaino Z5 Pro (ZFX'd with 2 sprays of Z8) on paint, wheels, glass

- Zaino Z16 on tires

- Chemical Guys VRT 2:1 in wells

Cheers.

Both look great. The A4 looks good just from the zaino.

The FX45 looks amazing, the color is awsome.

Great work Sean. Your details continue to hit the mark. Looks like you have been keeping busy on weekends...:xyxthumbs

Funny thing is that Sean probably knocked both of those out in the same time most of us take to do one-and he is out of practice-haha.

Good job.

Just under 8 hours total for the two.

Thanks folks.

You used 106FF / orange pad w/o following with a green / white pad? No marring?

If so, I can't wait to try the Menzerna in the mail.

J.J. - On this paint, yes. I wiped down with S+W and Z6, then checked in the sun. Make sure you burnish it down with 4-6 passes.

Loved the Audi very much Sean, great work!

PS: what lens are you using with that camera? It's a Nikon, right?

Canon Rebel XTi with the stock lens. I'm looking to purchase a Tamron 28-75-2.8XR rather soon.

Nice job, Sean!!

Does the Tamron 28-75 has I.S? In Nikon world we called VR.

Sigma called them OS.

Very nice work Sean. Do you back down to rotary to less the 1k for the final passes of 106 to get the paint hologram free?
