After giving it a lot of though I decided to go with Zaino I drove 2 hours round trip and got Z1, Z2 , AND Z5 .

Am 'I now set up or need more stuff?

My car(Explorer) is very lightly sirwlled, should these be removed before applying Zaino or is the stuff I have all I need to do the job?

Please guide me to the proper use of the Zaino techniques:bow

I decided on Zaino because I can get it around here(Guelph)not that I think it is better than Klasse(I never used any)

Can I use any good car soap or has to be Z7?

I will ask more questions later:D :D :D

Will my car go faster with the ZZZZZZZZZ on it:D :D :D

Thanks for the help:bow

Why did you not just get it mailed?

Anyway, that is all you really need.

Try to remove any swirls the best you can before you detail. Also, clay and dawn wash before Zainoing for the first time.

You can use any car wash so long as it does not leave behind any waxes (ie mother's gold class, zymol, whatever...). Well, I guess you could do that, it won't damage the Z or anything, you just have to strip the carn. wax off before adding another Z layer.

I would invest in some ZFX (no long drying time between coats) and Z6 (acts as a QD, which I use between coats)

Maybe cuz he is in Canada? Does Sal ship to Canada?

I don't know about the ZFX. Unless you plan on putting multiple layers on in one day its not really necessary. It just speeds up the curing time for the polymer between layers. if you aren't going to go nuts with layering it then its 20 bucks you could probably save. Just my opinion though. I don't know how many layers you wanted to do and how long you wanted to take doing them.

Well the drive does not really count because I had to go that way anyway(got a bed costum made for my little daughter and the builder lives that way)

:xyxthumbs

Thanks a lot for the help fellows it is greatly appriciated.

I also been reading through Nick's thread on how to apply Zaino, found it very informative:bow

Well any other tips are very wellcome :bow

I'll probably use a polish like DACP followed by GECP to remove the swirls , this after the clay :xyxthumbs

So I guess it is safe to use my car soap, great because I bought 6 cases from The Wax Station:xyxthumbs

On your opinion Z6 is a must , well what's another drive , some other day:D

Fellows thanks again:bow

The most important phase of applying Zaino (like ALL protectants) is the PREP. Get the finish to the final appearance you want. Work with the DACP and SEPC until you have arrived at the gloss, depth and wetness you want preserved. Do not expect the Zaino to hide a shoddy PREP.

Have fun and take your time and enjoy the protection and shine. :wavey

Hmmm .... from what I read, and from my own experience with Zaino, I would want the Z6 QD. You're supposed to use it before your first layer of Z, between layers, and after application. I've never tried Z without Z6, but sure have been happy using my Z2 with Z6. I think I read here somewhere that folks who tried Zaino without Z6 eventually discovered the Z6 added more "pop" and slickness to the finish.

As others here have said, ya gotta do all your prep before starting with Zaino. Zaino will not hide any imperfections. It has no swirl-removal/hiding properties. If you have swirls before Z'ing, Z will just give you shinier swirls. :D

Most definitely.

Keep us posted on your progress.
