what's the difference between #7 and #81 and how aggressive is #82. I looked at the Mequiars website and totally got turned around.

do you use#81 first and then 7 or vice versa?

The paint has some very minor swirls and I want to get some protection on the car (bright silver metallic) this weekend before winter finally sets in.

I plan on using AIO/SG and UPP as protection but feel that I should at least feed the paint before sealing it.

#81 is a bit easier to use than #7. #82 is what I would suggest you use, then AIO, SG, PUPP. AIO is going to strip the oils from #82 and most certainly from 81 and 7. This being said, you can probably do 82, AIO, SG, PUPP, then 7 or 81 if you'd like, but there has been some questioning of the cleaning properties of 81 especially, but also 7. In my opinion since the car is silver, you are not going to see a big difference with the 7 or 81. I would just do 82, AIO, SG 3x, PUPP if its your liking.
