I am always looking for a protectant that will last a fairly good length of time and give me the type of appearance that I personally like. I make this point because there are varying personal opinions on tire appearance. I picked up a bottle of this product and gave it a test when we had a bit of mild weather almost 2 weeks ago. I photographed the tires at the start, 5 days later and finally at 10 days. I would point out that conditions were anything but good during this time. There was driving in 3 good rain storms and in snow at least four inches deep. The vehicle is outside 24/7.
Application: According to instructions with a foam swipe on a perfectly clean surface. Thsi was done in temps about 50 degrees F and the swipe dragged from the thick gel. This product is quite thick. After sitting for 20-30 minutes the tires were buffed with a shop cloth.
Appearance: Freshly applied the tires were bright shiny and fairly wet looking. At 5 days the tires were really looking quite nice still perfectly black with a low sheen to them. At this point they had endured a rain storm and then snow. At 10 days the tires were still black, would bead water from a hose and were just starting to show minimal streaking.
This 10 day period would represent fairly severe conditions for the product.
Conclusion: I would use this product again especially if I wanted it to last for two weeks or so while on a trip. I will probably give it another trial after it gets warmer just to confirm my feelings . Currently my preferred go-to products are Poorboy's Bold n Bright, and Eagle One Concours.
