Are you as OC about your house as your car?

i'm not...but i go in streaks. when i clean...i CLEAN. then it kind of builds up until needed again. i have my own place and it's a decent size (3 br/3 bath)...so it's a lot to handle for just me...considering lawn, and now autopian OCD car cleaning. :)

Noting that I don't really consider it OCD, I'm about as meticulous about most *everything* in my life as I am about the vehicles (but then I'm not as meticulous about the vehicles as some here either).

Actually, I do something housecleaning related every day, which is more than I can say about detailing the vehicles. But there's a limit...to get the whole house as nice as the vehicles just won't happen, by the time I finished the last room the first ones would be awful again; there's just no way I can really stay ahead of it. Gee, that's sorta the situation with the vehicles too :o

Kinda boils down to "too much": too many vehicles to keep 'em really perfect, too much house to keep it as nice as I'd like, too little life to spend it all on cleaning. It's a "problem" I can live with...

Heh heh, anybody can immediately tell which parts of the house are "mine" and which are my wife's though ;)

I am pretty "anal" about my house, car's, and all of my stuff. I figure that I work hard to get the things that I have and to not take care of them would be silly. I can't stand disorder. I hate people that are disorganized. To me having things organized tends to make you more efficent and is a projection of yourself.

I keep all my vehicles looking great. My boat, my lawn, house, and jetskis are all the same. I wouldn't call it OCD. Its just taking care of things. :)

I think if I had the time I would be. I am with Accumulator, I do some kind of house stuff daily. When you have a wife, kids and a job you have to prioritize and OCD impulses have to be suppressed. Our house is by no means dirty but, like most people we will always have to clean up before having company over :D

I'm a pig when it comes to keeping a housed clean but hey I like a clean house but I have no interest at all in keeping it up. My house looks like a bachor’s house dust every where. Once every year of so I hire a maid to clean things up.

Wifey and I have a housekeeper who cleans the downstairs level and both upstairs bathrooms once a week... the rest of the time, we do the house version of "QD'ing".

Vacuum weekly, clean the kitchen daily, bathrooms get done twice a week.

Liz and I run a tight ship here :), much cleaner than our families, but we have been in cleaner homes...(cough cough, mgm).

Crap, this thread reminds me of all the windows that need washing :o. Yes, I'm very meticulous about my possessions for the reasons Pat gave. Heck, I don't wear shoes indoors , and that's the case over friends' places too but that has more to do with habit than keeping clean. I've been doing that since I was knee high. Oh yeah, I make sure to vacuum in a grid pattern. :D

I try to stay on top of house cleaning chores - mainly vacuuming and keeping the bathrooms and kitchen wiped down with the Lysol wipes. I also make sure the yard is cut, edged, and watered weekly.

I do believe homes, yards, cars, etc. are a reflection of their owner, and I like to project a "kept" image :)

I live in an apartment so I don't have a huge area to keep clean, but what little space I do have I'm very OCD about. I clean the kitchen everyday and the bathroom at minimum once a week with copious amounts of bleach. I sweep and swiffer usually once a day. I like my space to be clean enough that if anyone were to visit me there would be nothing I have to clean before they show up.

I'm not near as OCD with my car as I am my apartment, mainly because its difficult for me to do any detailing work not having access to a hose or any outdoor power outlets.
