I wish . . .
I had occasion to place an order with a “non-sponsor” vendor last week for one of our "foreign" citizens & I have to say, the experience was “unrewarding” & unsatisfactory to say the least!
When I tried to place the order, the web-page was very difficult to navigate, the order took a day longer to get here than another order placed later that day with a sponsor in the same general area. And when I unpacked the order, there was a spray head included, but no bottle to fit it. Since one item of my over $100 order was a gallon of a SPRAY detailer, I thought something might be amiss since the corner of the box had been re-taped.
I posted about it on their forum, & in spite of my post having 20+ views in 24 hours, there was no response. I tried calling them & got routed immediately to their voice mail system. So I sent them an e-mail explaining the situation & requesting a sample of one of their other highly touted products. Several hours later, I received a very curt response indicating that the head must have been included in error and informing me that if I wished to purchase a bottle to fit it, they are available on their “Accessory Page” – after much searching & scrolling on their cumbersome web-site, I found the bottles which they sell for $2.40 with no top. I can do much better than that @ my local Costco – pack of 4 (with spray heads) = $ 6.60. Oh, and the person who wished the sample, would have to contact them directly to arrange international shipping.
I have had conversations by phone or e-mail with all our other sponsors which I have always found to be far more pleasant and professional. Not to mention, their web-sites are far easier to navigate & they are always including an extra goody or two to try.
