every time u see a car do u just see the scratches and the swirlsmarks and think away of removing them and making the car look better than new??

Yeah... It sick... My girlfriend hates it... However, she must not hate it to much, because she keeps wanting to get her car detailed every week... :grinno:

yep, sucks when all you want to talk about is detailing the car next to you...other people in the car dont care, so up goes the music and I start talking to myself!!!

A big hand for OCD

lol she it sucks, my friends are already tired of me talking about the porter cable and polishes glazes and waxes lol

I'll admit I use to be one of the 'ignorants' but since being on here and detailing a few cars I've found the same too.

Walking down the road, looking at every imperfection on every car and getting annoyed that no one seems to care.

oh geez glad this topic came up and at least now there's people like me, i was driving home from a trip with my girlfriend and all I was doing was complaining how dirty, oxidated, and swirled up the cars next to me in traffic was. Everybody in the car didn't even give a damn what I was talking about. Finally at least some people have the same syndrome as me guess I'm infected too. :D

im the same way. i was in wildwood nj and i saw the black infinity with buffer trails and swirl markes every where. i told my girl, wow i feel so bad for the car.....

I did the same thing....Saw a 05 blue 350Z at Pepboys, and you could tell that the kid thought his car was the ****, I almost handed him a business card... :lol

OH yeah i can't stand seeing dirty cars or cars that have scratches swirl marks water spots it drives me insane

dont come look at my car...lol

too busy to detail my own ride! non-stop work between the detail business and the restaurant business keeps me slammed with 60+ hour weeks...no way I am working on my own car for no pay!!! LOL

Since I became infected with the detailing bug some years ago I have buff , polish , wax , and seal my old pick up truck so much that I had to repaint it . It is my stress relief drug .

Cheers , Jean Paul

I agree but my biggest problem is when I see new cars parked at a dealership with swirls conveniently applied. I can spot them a mile away. I almost understand an older car but a fresh one from the factory?

Ugh, all the time !

Even worse is when I see the most tiny imperfections after I've done a detail and it makes me feel like **** about the entire job. Yet the customer would never notice in a million years, and instead notices that their seats don't produce a cloud of blinding dust when touched, and their paint is swirl-free !
