Are they similar?

I was wondering if Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze is similar to "3M Perfect-It II Foam Polishing Pad Glaze - Dark".

From what I know, they are both glazes and they both are polishes that bring back the shine and take away swirls.

Please let me know if this is correct.

I wanted to use Meguiars #80 after I took out wetsanding marks with #84 compound. But I recently acquired "3M Perfect-It II Foam Polishing Pad Glaze - Dark" for a stellar price.

Thanks in advance!

I use the 3M Dark Glaze almost every day on BMW's. It more of a polish than a real glaze like Meg's #7. With a rotary and the 3M Glaze pad, you can finish the paint very nicely.

Great stuff and we have gallons of it in the shop.

Thank you very much. Thats probably what I am after anyway, so it should work out well. I am gonna wetsand then use M84 compound and then use this 3M Dark Glaze to bring back the shine.

I got lots of it on sale 16oz for $4.50CAD :nana: If I were o get Megs #80 it would be for $20CAD for 32oz...So I got a good deal.
