Hello,

If you're buying from pakshak, then get these:

Menzerna Final Polish II (before Klasse, assuming you have a random orbital polisher or a rotary polisher)

Klasse All-In-One Polish

Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection Sealant

303 Aerospace Protectant (for vinyl, rubber, plastic)

Lexol Leather Cleaner

Lexol Leather Conditioner

Klasse All-In-One Polish is a really, really good product. Klasse Sealant Glaze is durable but people have issues with buffing it off. It's the most durable among the sealants but a the next best thing right now is Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection Sealant (aka 4* UPP).

I'd still recommend putting wax over your sealant. Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Professional Paste Wax #16 is durable but reportedly tough to buff off. Trade Secret / Pinnacle Souveran / P21S are all easy-on and easy-off nice but not as durable as #16. I'd probably pick P21S but expect to put it on again in about 4-6 weeks.

I haven't used the MF revitalizer but it's supposed to keep your MFs in tip-top shape. Just don't use hot water, powder detergents, and fabric softener.

lumpymilk,

I looks like you have read quite a bit on Autopia to have put your shopping list together:)

I would add that you should get some clay also. Even though you are getting a new car I would recommend that you clay it. It will safely remove any rail dust or fall out.

I personally like Klasse SG. It can be finicky to work with but I really like the durabilty and the looks, espically the second coat. The key to getting good results with SG is thin coats. I use about 1/2 of an ounce to do a Totota Corrola. If you have trouble removing the SG just give it a shot of QD and it buffs right off.

I have no experiance with UPP, but it does get some pretty good reviews here.

I also use AIO and SG on my rims, chrome, and all black trim. I apply it when I am using it on the paint. It keeps the plastic trim black and it eliminates one step from the detailing process. When my rims are treated they are very easy to wash.

Hope this is helpful to you.

:welcome by the way

heya lumpymilk

where abouts are you in Aus? i'm on a the gold coast.

is that a silver xr6? cause i'm in love with the BA flacon range (the FPV GT is drop dead gorgeous :D:D)

i buy most of my products from local importers - in brisbane there is waxit.com.au there's also a few in sydney - waxwizard and eclipse i think.

but some products you have to get from the states i agree... and it saves on postage in bulk. but don't forget your local suppliers when you only need one or two products when you need to top up.

i find cleaning my mf's (gona get roasted) in the washing machine on a warm/cold cycle works get - just dry them in the shade. not the dryer.

umm.. thats about the most of my rantings for today. have fun with the barra!:P

i live in adelaide i want to support the locals i will have to look in the the products and the prices

cheers

ps its mercury silver the darker silver of the two

Hi Lumpymilk

Nothing wrong with warm/cold machine washing, I always add white vinegar as a fabric softener
