Are there any neighbors, or friends just like you that have the same habit as far as keeping your cars detailed?
My gf loves to wash her 06 Civic Hybrid and she uses the same products as I do. We always talk about car detailing such as techniques and new products, but it's becoming less and less now since she is busy with her Masters Program. She's been the only buddy I talk to when it comes to detailing. Oh... she bought the new UDM but, she's yet to use that thing. I'm jealous.....
None of my co workers ,or friends are into car detailing (that's why I'm on autopia). I'm into sports like a lot like my peers, but car detailing has become a new addiction for me. I just keep this new hobby of mine to myself. My good friends know about it, and I did a few side jobs as well, but usually I'm the only one so interested on how a cars paint looks when I'm walking through a parking lot LOL!
When I'm coming home down my street, I see a guy cleaning his current gen Honda Odyssey all the time, but can only catch him when he's in the garage drying it. I know he washes it because his drive way is wet. I wonder if he's using the right technique...
A couple of houses before mine, I see another guy that has a black Mercedes (don't know which Class) but I've seen him wash his car at 3am in the morning. That was the only time I seen him clean his car. I did manage to see what cleaning products he has stored as I drove by. Pretty much Armor All tire foam, and leather wipes. My question is.... how the hell is his car always clean??
His car sits out in the sun all day long, and I can never see any swirls. It's beautiful in it's own stance...
I have another neigbor that has one kid he pays, or teenager cleaning his red Dodge Magnum. Usually I would see the boy on a Sunday cleaning his interior. One day I seen him using a bathroom towel wiping off the glass. I didn't bother to stop him... just drove on by.
My next door neighbor would have a friend come over on Sundays who drives a Blue BMW M5 and washes his car there, while I would be mowing the grass. I would wave and say hello, but never stopped by to ask what he uses. I seen him use a buffer, but it was no PC. He likes to use those thin MF towels from Wal-Mart. I can't remember since I have not seen him come over in a while.
I need a car detailing buddy.. haha.
