Haven't posted here in a while.. Here's some new pics of my 88 sedan since I bought it december 2011.

Anyways, snow is gone and spring 2013 is here and it was warm enough to get some much needed new pics. Enjoy.

Rob, how have you managed to keep the rust off the car?

I'm assuming it didnt see much winter salt/snow.

Long story short:

- found the listing on thisoldhonda.org

- owned by a 92 yr old woman in NJ

- she gave it to her grandson in 2009

- I bought it from him in December 2011 and brought it up to CANADA from Pittsburgh.

Rob.- I see you're still keeping it in great shape (no surprise there!)... man-oh-man I love that thing.

Thanks.

Its my winter beater.

I have my 1990 CRX for summer and 1991 Civic Si is the garage queen.

I had a 90 LX in the same colour with the same interior (mine was a 5 speed though.) Brings back memories; that's a great car you have there :-)

cool. Im hoping to do a 5 speed swap 1 day, if ever this auto tranny ever goes. (knock on wood)

I would highly recommend doing the swap. Before I had my 90, I had an 89 automatic. Not only was it significantly slower, the shifts were so rough that the 1-2 shift would turn on the windscreen wipers if I floored it! The tranny is super easy to drop, and there's already a cutout in the firewall for the clutch pedal. The manual gearbox doesn't have the greatest shifter feel in the world, but it is a whole lot better than those autos!

Yeah...heh heh, I'm not likely to forget either of those! :grinno:

I just love it that your winter car is so nice; wish the previous owner of my '93 Audi had kept its paint nice enough to compare with yours (at least my interior is on-par ;) ).

Thanks man !

Update: Here's a video I made of the car before I stored it for summer.

I also purchased some new old stock moldings for it.

Still waiting for the passenger side set to come in from Belgium.
These are the last set in Europe, USA, and Canada.
There's some left in U.K. but I dont have any contact there.

Striving for perfection !   :knockout

Rob.- Thanks for the walk-around!  That damage to the LR door armrest just gives it character!

I could just barely make out why you're replacing the mouldings, the oe ones are still awfully nice.

Good that you have sources for parts (Latvia?!?).

What's the character(s) on the RR floormat?

Found the last molding I needed in Sweden ! *:)

At least they made a zillion of those cars, that's gotta help some.

My '93 Audi V8 OTOH, was built in somewhat small numbers and it's getting impossible to find even common stuff for it; it took nearly six months to find a windshield wiper motor, finally got one off a freshly  totaled car in Germany.  Couldn't drive it in wet weather in the meantime, and it's my bad-weather beater!
