Applying Zaino in the direct sunlight

I have been applying Zaino in a garage, but am wondering if it would be ok to layer Z5 outside in the direct sunlight?

All the sun does it make it dry quicker. When I apply in the sun I do it by sections and use Z6 and MF to help me remove. I don't know if I'd use any product with black in the sun, but if it isn't black you'll be fine.

The sun wont hurt a Z application. I do it all the time. Some say that after your all done, leave the car in the aternoon sun, it will cure the Z better and create a better shine!:nixweiss

I have a black GTO

I don't know about black, but for red putting Zaino on in the sun works very well. My main problem is waiting for the Zaino to dry and I'll actually purposely apply in sunlight so it'll dry faster.

I wouldn't apply it in the sun...although some people do without problem.

You might try applying in the garage and pulling it in the sun to dry.

I have black, red, silver and white vehicles. Though Zaino can be applied in direct summer sunlight it does have the tendency to streak on darker colored vehicles when applied in this way. This streaking is caused by rapid carrier evaporation prior to evenly spreading the product on the surface. Spring and Fall sunlight applications presents no problems.

I prefer to apply indoors on dark colors for the simple reason that black will show any damage that occurs if any dust, pollen, etc lands undetected on the surface and is rubbed into the finish when applying any protectant.

I always apply Zaino on my white F/S SUV (Escalade) outdoors and in some cases in direct sunlight. No problem. If it would fit into my basement designated detailing garage, I would apply indoors.

Conclusion: Zaino can technically be applied outdoors in direct summer sunlight without any ill-effects on it's chemistry but this type of application tends to present problems with streaking from uneven application on dark vehicles from my experience.

I completely agree :xyxthumbs

Also, there is the subtle leveling of the product before it dries that aids in uniform application to consider. This alone is enough to make me reconsider sunlight application. I do not know at what speed cross-linking takes place, but I personally prefer to give it some time. The heat and evaporation, plus the fact that the molecules are vibrating faster as it gets hotter makes me want to be conservative on this issue. This may be a non issue, but it is my gut feeling.
