Applying wax with a 7424

I was wondering what the process is for applying wax with a PC. I know this is a relly noobish question but I just got mine and I wanna do it right...I think the part that confuses me most is the bonnets that came with the DAS polisher kit I bought...thanks....Josh





please could you include instructions for carnuba (currently use the deep crystal series carnuba)



and



synthetic wax such as gold class

Use a finishing pad, dont use to much product or else it will be a pita to remove. You should be able to tackle an entire panel with just a few drops on the finishing pad.
 
I usually take a moistened (either with QD or XMT pad conditioner) white polishing pad, with the wax spread onto the pad with a butter knife (if paste) or a few circular stripes if liquid. Put the pad against the paint and turn the PC on 3.5 or 4 and slowly apply the wax.



For removal I usually do a first pass by hand to remove the majority of the wax, then buff the remaining off with a MF bonnet over a wool pad.
 
2 Questions...



When using a paste wax... do you use more or less product by using the buffer as opposed to by hand?



Second... do you use a 6+" pad or 4" pad for applying wax?
