Applying SFP by hand & other questions...

I've been reading this forum a lot lately and I've come up with a list of things I'd like to use on the first detail of my car (1996 Ford Mustang, bright red). I've only waxed it twice since I got it last spring, and I have no idea what's been done to it before, but the paint is in pretty good condition for an 8-year-old car. As soon as the pollen around here dies down, I plan on doing the following:

Wash car

Clay bar

Wash car (maybe not, depends on how the claying goes, I've never done it before)

Meguiars Swirl Free Polish (#82)

Meguiars Hand Polish (#81)

Wolfgang Sealant

Meguiars Paste Wax (#16)

I plan on applying everything by hand, and my main question is, instead of usng a folded terry cloth, as Scottwax recommends, to apply the SFP, would using multiple terry cloth applicators (the ones by Pinnacle) be sufficient? I remember reading that it is important to apply even pressure when applying SFP by hand, and I thought maybe those terry applicators would help with that (less likely to apply more pressure with fingertips). I'd buy several of them so I could use a clean surface of the applicator for each section of the car... I'd also use them with the #81. Also... how exactly to I work with the SFP, and the HP for that matter? Do I just use circular motions followed by 'back and forth' motions within a small area... do I wait until the product is dry and clear (how long?)... and how much pressure do I apply? Once I get past the polishing step everything will be easier, I just want to make sure I'm applying this stuff correctly.

Another quick question, would it be worth it to add a 2nd coat of the Wolfgang sealant or isn't that necessary? I plan on doing this detail now and then maybe another coat of Wolfgang plus #16 in August before I go back to school and my car won't be driven much.

Thanks for any help.
