Applying Scratch X over Zaino

A few weeks ago I put 3 layers of Z5 and 3 layers of Z2 on my car. Today I was washing it and noticed 3 fairly long scratches on my front bumper...(I think it happened when the hose came off the ground and brushed the bumper :( )

So what can I do now? Will anything i use just remove the Zaino making me have to reapply it all again afterwards??

Scratch X will remove the Zaino. To remove the scratch you are going to have to use a product that is abrasive enough to rub down the clear coat to the point that you can't see the scratch. If you are rubbing down the clear then you are removing everything on it. Its like trying to sand out a scratch on your kitchen table without removing the varnish. Its just not possible.

Damn what a pain...so is scratch X enough to even do this, cause i rubbed my finger nail over the scratches and i can feel them a little bit...man how much damage can a garden hose do

I hear ya. I cut the metal head off my hose to save myself the agony. ;) It ticks my wife off when she has to switch the hose when she does her watering but at least my car doesn't run the risk of getting banged up by the stupid thing.

The sad part is that it was the rubber part that scratched it, not the metal end in my case :( I was on the other side of my car and I yanked the hose so I could go farther around and it rubbed against my front bumper :doh I hope the scratches were the result of something else cause that really sucks

I would say that ScratchX should be able to remove it then. I can't imagine something like a rubber hose in that situation doing damage that can't be rubbed out.

So whats the deal here, after I finish with the scratch x do I just need to apply zaino on the spot that I used scratch x, or do I need to reapply the whole bumper?

Probably just that spot. You could do the whole bumper again though if you wanted to. I doubt that you are going to notice the difference on the bumper with that one little area rubbed out. ScratchX may leave some small scuffs of its own so you may want to follow it with another polish like maybe #9 or something. You may not have to rub that hard though. Who knows.... Its up to you what you do after you rub out the scratch. If it looks fine then I'd just leave it alone.

I put a little Y adapter on my spicket that has a little lever to switch between the two hoses. Will make your wife much happier since all she will have to do is throw the lever rather than change the hose :) You should be able to get one at Home Depot or Lowes.

I've thought of that. I only have room to have one hose coiled up though. She only complains because she can. If I fixed the problem then she would have nothing to complain about and that would make her miserable I think. :D j/k I love my honey.
