Are there any particular considerations for applying product to a waffle pad versus a traditional flat/concave pad?
In the threads I have read through it is clear that some prefer to apply directly to the car, and some prefer to apply to the pad. I'm not certain, but it seemed that the more experienced folks generally applied directly to the pad.
I'm thinking a waffle pad will maybe aid in reducing sling since the product will have a more obstructed path to get to the edge of the pad and fly off.
Specifically, I'll be starting with a small section using an Edge 2000 8" blue waffle pad and CG AIO. The paint is not 100% perfect, so I'll probably next try the green waffle pad with CG AIO.
The pad thread:

confirms that the Edge2k green waffle is good for product abrasive levels 2,3,4 from the product thread:

Therefore, if I decide I want to do more correction I'll run up to the local APS to pickup something from the level 4 abrasives on that list (whatever they stock) and hit it with the green pad. This would be followed with AIO on the blue most likely.
Thanks!
