Applying Pinnacle Souveran?

Pop the wax out of the can and butter up a red pad lightly. Then apply with your P/C. You will be shocked how far it will go so don't load up too much and stay away from seams and crevices. Not only will it go on very uniformly but it will be easy to remove because of the thin layer being applied. I like this method best because the friction from the P/C will help melt the wax into the finish. With this method, you should be able to apply wax to the entire car in about 5 minutes. When done, don't forget to wash your micro fiber towels in HOT water. Carnauba wax will inhibit the towels ability to absorb water in the future just like it beads water off the surface of the car.

Can't remember if it will hurt black trim and plastic? How long should I leave it on? I will probably pull the truck inside and wax it in the garage out of sun. Thx. Mike.

I use the applicator pad it came with. This product is a WOWO (wipe on wipe off) product. I have not seen any residue on the black trim or plastic. It goes on and comes off like butter. All you need is a very light application

Keep it out of the sun. Most of the time you get away with it, but when I was first starting out I used it in the sun on a red Corvette, and it bonded to the paint badly enough that I had to repolish to remove the residue.

The instructions state to apply by included applicator pad and wipe off after application. No need to wait for hazing on the paste wax. You can also use a buffer to apply like stated above.. again, no need to wait for hazing.

At the suggestion of Mike Phillips I experimented with letting my Souveran set up before buffing it off. What do ya know...it works better for me that way and here I'd be W-O-W-Oing Souveran for ages! Letting it dry gives me better durability and it seems to be a little more user-friendly too.

But I still W-O-W-O when applying it to plastic trim. And yeah, it works great on trim for me; I even use it on the rubber bumper trim of the XJS. Putting wax on rubber is supposed to be a :nono but it's still like new after over twenty years of such treatment.
