Applying Mezerna/1Z by hand?

Can someone with experience comment on the ability to apply FP/IP and 1Z by hand? I don't have a PC but feel that these products could remove the scratches and swirls in my paint most effectively.

best results will be found with a machine. If you have a look over at CMA, they do have guidelines for using Menzerna by hand.

I dont really like microfiber applicators. I use regular cotton applicator for polishes.

hayless- I'll second Mantic6t9- I've used my 1Z stuff by hand to remove marring in areas I couldn't reach by machine (fingernail scratches under door handles). It works well, given the inherent limitations of hand-application. I've used foam, terry, and MF, 1Z polishes work fine with all of them.
