Applying 303 Properly?

Just bought another bottle of 303 Aerospace for my Civic. The first time I applied it to my dash I stupidly enough just sprayed it onto the dash causing splatter marks.

I cleaned that up and cut a spare piece of grout sponge and applied it like this instead. I noticed today once it was lighter outside it was applied somewhat unevenly and looks worse than if I just sprayed my car with Megs quick detailer.

Is there any way to get even distribution? Should I be wiping the dash down after I apply it? It seems like a very greasy product, I accidentally sprayed some on my windshield and it required about 3 separate cleanings with Stoners to get it off the glass!

Yep, 303 requires being buffed off. This should help with your streaks. It's not meant to be ultra-bling dressing.

I use a sponge to apply it, let it soak in for about 15 minutes and then buff dry with a microfiber. As has been pointed out, 303 needs to be buffed dry, or it will be streaky.

yeah I experienced similar results first time I used it. I've found that on some materials, you don't HAVE to buff off, but since there can be several different textures and materials inside a car, SOME of those will streak and some won't. My VW has soft touch dash, matte type center stack, shiny buttons, flat black AC vents. I usually buff it off after 15-30 minutes and it looks great.
