For AIO, which is a cleaner for Klasse, I used a finishing pad so it doesn't have any cutting power. It worked pretty good for working it into most of the panels.
*I*, on the other hand, use a polishing pad. It won't bring any real "cut" to the party (consider that most final polishing is still done with a polishing pad), but will be more open-cell in nature, giving the stuff getting cleaned off somewhere to go. It'll also be for suitable for the occasional need to put some pressure on it. Note that paint cleaning is *not* the same process as applying a LSP.
The AIO itself doesn't have enough cut to worry about, many of us consider it nearly nonabrasive.
There are a lot of different polishing and finishing pads out there, so there are a lot of ways to go with this (subtle differences, but differences nonetheless). But if you're doing any real work (like cleaning paint), I wouldn't use the finest finishing pad available...
