Applicator Pads

Hey everyone, i have been religiously using meguiars foam hand applicators for a while however i never washed them after each use and they are starting to look pretty worn even though they were stored in clean air tight containers, this leads me to my question, whilst browsing through ebay i saw a pack of 12 yellow foam applicator pads that were extremely cheap and looked the same as megs, so are they the same product and if i bought them would they scratch my paint or perform any different than megs pads?

Get the cheapies and wash them in the washing machine with liquid detergent. They will last a long, long time.
 
thanks all for your help, just was a little skepticle as i figured any company could just use some cheap foam and colour it yellow, but if they are aall the same then woohoo time for some cheapies!!
