Applicator for s100 paste wax

I picked some up at the local HD dealer today and of course it came with a small applicator for a bike. You guys use something else?

By the way, what does it mean when it says to apply it directionally. Usually I just apply waxes in a a "rainbow" pattern.

The applicator that comes with it is perfect to use with it. In a directional pattern just means straight lines not circles

I tossed the applicator and use either an MF applicator or the new CBT material applicator from the Autopia store :up

At first I did not realize the grey thingie in the can is actually

the applicator. :o

So, initially I used the autopia foam applicator (the blue one with handle). However, the darn thing won't go in to the can nicely.

I ended up using a plastic knife to get the wax out of the can

and spread it on the foam applicator - way too much work. :p

I have since been using that grey ugly thigie inside the can

as the applicator. To make the job easy, I wax in small

circular motion (I can't deal with that "go with the wind flow"

zen method - I guess I am not a real Autopian :o )

I must admit that S100 is so easy to use that I find myself

waxing my car on a whim (last evening I took out the trash

and saw my car sitting all lonely there - ended doing a quick layer

of s100 on its hood and trunk. I love that greasy feel of

s100 when I am putting it on and love the feel of Dave's

concours buffing towel when I am buffing it off - am I

sick or what. :o )

Directional application seems like it would REALLY be a pain! Its just a zig-zag sort of motion right? How long do you guys find it takes for the wax to setup up (right before it hazes) like the directions say.

Hmmm...

I think it means you go do it in straight line but no back and

forth movement. (Example: from front of hood to the back

of hood in a straigth line, then lift the pad and do it again

from front to back - after a while, you will achieve nirvana -

so I was told).
