Just wondering....

I was gonna put some Snappy Clean mixed with APC and tide and put all in a washer to clean my buffing pads....what do ya think??

Eeek. Sounds like overkill to me.
I don't personally put mine in the wash at all, unless nothing else works. I wash by hand with a little soap and water, and let dry in the air.

Yes it does sound like a bit of overkill here too, but I do add APC to the wash for pads and microfiber too. :) I usually wash both together , but do a pre-wash of the pads in a bucket with APC to get the heavier polishes and sealants out before washing. I add 3-4 ounces per wash and my towels and pads always come out clean and product free.

Do you use APC in addition to your detergent?

yes, in the same way many use a specific microfiber cleaner booster...those who have tried it have not looked back:)

Maybe a bit overkill...but clean.....lol !! :)

anyways, i may just use the APC plus tide in the wash...maybe skip the snappy's??

I put some cobra green MF in the washer with my white LC polishing pads and now I have Green LC polishing pads the colors just ran right out of them I also use some vinagar in the softner basket along with SG pads come out clean...

Another thing to consider when washing. At my local grocery store I can find laundry soap w/o fragrances, fabric softeners or bleach. Pubix sells their own brand and Purex is another brand you might find at Walmart and most grocery stores.
Point is, use laundry soap without additives...........Tom:)

I use Hot/cold but use the presoak cycle let the pads soak for 1 hr then do a supper wash with 2 rince cycles this seems to work out OK

Don't you folk find that the washing machine breaks down the glue between the pad and the hook & loop velcro?

That's why I use warm/delicates...i have a pad that started to do just that when I used hot/normal :(

I use LC pads and never had a problem with the glue breaking down but I did have a problem with some Cobra green MF's the color ran out onto my white polishing pads now I have green polishing pads.....:boot
