Anyway to remove swirlmakrs from chrome trim?

It annoys me to no end to look at my car and see everything clean and swirl free (for the majority) and than look at my chrome trim surrounding my window and see the swirls in them. The car was like this when I bought it and its such an eyesore. Is there anyway to gently polish these out or do I just have to live with it? Ive tried waxing them and OCW lessens it to some extent. Would a glaze be better? Id like a more permanent solution though.

Or do I just need to replace them?

IME once chromium gets scratched it stays that way. Very hard (and pretty thin) stiff.

The chrome on my Jag was marred up before I bought it (showroom new too). Over the years I've tried a lot of stuff and the car's had enough use that the chrome on the door handles has even worn through to the underlying metal...nothing ever worked on the marring and even where the chrome is worn away the scratches still run right up to the worn-through spots.

The way your wax lessens the appearance is about all you can hope for. LSPs that layer can be good choices as they'll conceal better than products that only leave one layer of stuff behind.
