are there anything i need?

i have read 4 hours of posts, my eyes are burning.

can still find a good answer.

the klasse and 7336 and the s100 are the result of my research

(clay magic, 3m medium cut, 3m light cut, dacp, depc) too many choices.

i have two cars, does that mean i have to buy two sets of mitts, mf,....?

2000 audi a4, dark blue,

2001 bmw m3 carbon black

thanks

Kenji- Yeah, it's easy to get overwhelmed by all the info available, let alone all the different opinions.

No, you don't need separate mitts etc. for your Audi and the Bimmer.

I don't know much about recent BMWs, so this is all sorta Audi specific. It'll probably work fine on the M3 too, but I'm VERY familiar with Audis.

OOPS on the SMR and hand glaze. The latter is just nonabrasive makeup that isn't really gonna do much (and the AIO will clean it off anyhow). Save that stuff for when (if) you get something repainted, use it while the paint cures. The SMR is also heavy on "make up" type fillers and is not, IMO, aggressive enough for use on Audi clearcoat. Sorry, not what you'd like to hear I'm sure.

Yes, that's the right PC. Get PLENTY of pads, better too many than not enough. Get at least one cutting pad, three polishing pads, and two finishing pads.

To keep it simple, *I* would recommend some 1Z Paint Polish (green can, pretty mild) and some 1Z Metallic Polish (red can, VERY mild). These are VERY easy to use by hand or PC and people are almost always *VERY* happy with them. Or get 3M's PI-III MG (pn 05937), another product that most people are very happy with. It's sorta in-between the two 1Z polishes in strength.

Then use your Klasse AIO and SG, topping the SG with the S100 *IF* you want to. Many people are happy just sticking with the Klasse (and then you can continue to add SG).

Only 4 hours  :p

pc 7336 or 7424, depends where you buy it from, but its the same machine with different accessories.

You don't need 2 sets of stuff because you have 2 cars, you can use the same mitts and MFs on both. However, if you only have 1 mitt and something happens to it (devoured by a dog perhaps....it has happened :) ) you will have to buy another anyway, so spares are handy. A good selection of MF's for different products are essential.

PC

This is what you want to get: http://www.coastaltool.com/cgi-bin/...24.htm?L+coastest+wfkn2585ffd508d5+1074135481

You will need pads for it too, look at www.topoftheline.com for the 7.5" Lake Country Pads. Get 2 of each color, for a total of 6. The two sets are not for different cars, but so you can use different polishes with the same type of pad the same day without washing the pad right away to get rid of the previous polish left on the pad).

PRODUCTS

This is what I would use for a full detail, in this order

Clay- Claymagic or Mother's brand

Meguires DACP OR 3M Fine cut rubbing compound

3M SMR or other SMR

AIO

SG

S100

Towels/MITS

Get 2-3 big microfiber towels.

Get 1-2 wash mits, sheepskin (I use 1 for the lower parts of the car and another for the upper parts).

Get a few small foam applicators for your waxes and glazes.

You can use the same stuff on both cars.

Hope that clears some stuff up for you.
