Anything better than s100???

I've been using s100 wax for almost a year now and very happy with the results....I usually wax the car every other week and put 2 coats with 24 hours in between each coats.... looks really good....

Now I almost ran out of my s100, and I'm wondering if there's anything better out there to substitute it..... I used s100 on top of SEPC and/or AIO and sometimes I also put a layer of meg's show car glaze before waxing..... I use the wax on a metallic black Audi A4 and silver honda civic, both cars are NOT daily driver and garaged most of the time, so wax durabillity is not an issue here.....also, if I need two different products for both cars, I wouldn't mind....

So if anyone could recommend me a choice for a "better" wax, I would really appreciate....... :up

I was confused on which one to try next....have heard about Blitz, Pinnacle Paste Glaz, Poorboys EX, etc, etc.....

Hmmmmm........Im not entirely impressed with what S100 offers....Im a polymer man myself, and normally dont top with anything, if i do , its a rather generic carnauba....I like to add a coat of Clearkote QS after a nice polymer laydown......

For overall shine, I still like Souveran on my red vehicles, but the price *may* not justify me calling it a better wax.

Blitz definately has more durability than S100, but will stain trim and is not quite as easy-on/easy-off as S100.

Summary:

I use all (3) waxes I've mentioned and I believe if one waxes as often as you do, they stick with S100.

When you factor in the ease of use, the non staining, and the price with your statement above, I think you have your answer. :)

I'm happy with the result, but if anything can look better I want to try it :D

What about pinnacle paste glaz for the silver civic? Is it better than S100??

Also, if I use Klasse AIO and multiple layer of SG before wax topper, will it improve the shine?? again, durability is NOT an issue since I wax it so often anyway.....

For waxes, I personally like Souveran for dark colors and P21S/S100 for light colors. I also have heard that Pinnacle Paste Glaz is great for light colors as well.

For a longer lasting product, or to use ase a base to top, I really like Poorboy's EX Sealant. I has a nice carnauba look to it.

Cheers,

My Black 7 Series

I would just stick with s100 if I were you.:xyxthumbs

It's simply just the best carnauba out there from a price/performance standpoint.:p

I have used Souveran, and it does tend to look a little bit 'wetter' on blacks and reds(at least in my eyes!). But, remember that 'wetness' is often caused by a slight lack of clarity in the wax itself.

I think s100 deserved its higher marks in the Wax Test over Souveran, Paste Glaz, and Blitz.

It's great on all colors, light or dark. It seems to make silvers 'glow' and blacks 'shimmer'. I don't see why you would want to switch away from it, personally...;)

The only way you can ever decide if one wax is "better" than another is to try it. Its ALL in your eyes.

And that is my two coats of wax.

I too agree!!

Imo, you would be hard pressed finding a better one. That said, I recommend you trying other waxes that have received good reviews. I am in the same situation, where my souveran is low and I have decided to try s100/ps21 on my black volvo. I suggest trying also Trade secret a very good wax as well as souveran.

I would then suggest experimenting with sealants and using your carnauba wax of choice as a topper. You will get a different shine and will only find your favorite if you experiment. I would try klasse combo, and EX as sealants. My .02.

I definately prefer the look of Blitz wax on dark colored cars over P21S. Indeed P21S has a slight edge over Blitz in application /removal. And, in my opinion the fact that S100/P21S does not stain trim most definately should be taken into consideration if your unwilling to be careful or mask. This becomes a moot issue on some rides with minimal plastic trim. But if your looking for the darkest, deepest, highest gloss look....give Blitz a try. Of course further enhancement can be accompolished by first using a polymer. There is an excellent article on this site describing the entire procedure using Pinnacle paint cleaner, IMH, AIO, SG and Blitz.

aio, sg, then blitz. Works for me. I will admit though that getting blitz on the trims SUCK. I'm thinking about trying the S100 for a change to see how it fares compared to the blitz.

IMHO the Klasse twins and a P21S/Souveran topper is the bomb.

Me? I don't see a difference between P21S/Souveran. I've done my black hood half/half, and I love the look, but I can't distinguish a line between the two...

I look at depth, warmth, reflectivity, gloss... I just don't see a difference!

I do like what I see, tho.

I send out plenty of polymer only jobs. They look good - clients are happy (and they will be three months later!), but for my car: Klasse twins and a P21S/Souveran topper.

I haven't found anything better than S100. I think Souveran and Paste Glaz are very close if not equal on some colors, but cost a lot more...and yes, I have tried both prior to using S100.

$15 and you can get a show quality shine on properly prepped paint-and up to 40 times since is spreads so nicely.

Since everyone started worshiping S100 I have been testing it on different cars and comparing it to Mother's products.

While the S100 does wipe out a little easier, the Mothers in my opinion outshines every time!

The sealer glaze followed by the red tin of Carnuba is the best combo on darks. The reflections synthetic is best on my white car.

I think a lot of people just want to use something that the average guy doesn't know about sometimes more than they want the best performing products.

My vote is for the Mothers products you can get at any auto parts store in America.
