I have been serching all afternoon without much success in autopia about this product. Autopian from England said is a good product. period.

I have a chevy avalanche as you know it has plastic cladding all over the truck.

I search in chevyavalanchefanclub.com about plastic fading and when the plastic has faded GM replace it per warranty.

I went to two Houston dealers and they don't want to replace it. The second dealer told my wife they can fix it. Today the avalanche went to its doctor apointment (LOL) and they applied a product named "bumper care" from autoglym.

It really looks good, color is back. We have a severe rain this afternoon. The rain has stop and I went outside to see the truck. The plastic is looking good and it is beading really great.

It looks like a good product so far.

Has anyone used this product before?

My truck is outside at night. During weekdays is in the garage when my wife is not driving. I wonder about durability and UV protection. (Texas sun)

I am using it and love it very much, especially it's water beading property. I use it on exterior black plastic trim. It can also be used to restore color and protect black/non-black trims and matt finish exterior trims; and also to remove dried on polish stains on bumpers and trim. Over here, we have tropical weather with frequent rain and shine; and i find it can last at least 4 weeks. :xyxthumbs

Here's the product descriptions:

Plastic bumpers and trim can suffer the ravages of time and harsh driving conditions just as much as your paintwork. Autoglym Bumper Care cleans and revives colour, restoring ageing trim to its original finish.

It continues to protect the surface by forming a touch, translucent, flexible, waterproof barrier against atmospheric pollution.

Use on all colours of exterior plastic and rubber components, including bumpers, fenders, grilles, mirror casings, mouldings, trim, tyre walls, vinyl roofs, spoilers and mudflaps.

This is a great product, available from htpp://classic-spares.com

Yeah, very nice stuff. Gives a lovely sheen finish.

The only thing I've found that lasts longer with an equivelent/better quality finish is the Clearkote Vinyl and Rubber Treatment. Personally thats become my fave but I used the Autoglym for a few years before that :).

Cheers.

It is a good product. Easy to apply, you only need a small amount, leave on for a while before buffing and it will last a long time.

I've gotta try this ! I own an X5 and I too have my fair share of black trim.

I'm using Wurth Rubber Care which has lasted the longest.

My favorite combo which never really last is to get the trim really clean with a diluted EFHI and then put some Z16 on it. Let that dry, and then another coat of Z16. Next day, I put a bit of 303 on it. It gives the plastic a nice healthy black look .
