Anyone used any of the 3D Products?

Just wondering if anyone has some input of these products, they seem to be priced well and contain all the good stuff we look for, solid shine, UV protectants ect. The ones I have interest in are their Ultra Proetctant, APC, Bug Remover, Odor Eliminator, Pink Car Soap, and Wash N Wax.

Im not looking for people to compare products here, just want some thoughts on what has been selected, I am well aware of several alternatives.

I am using several 3D / HD products, but unfortunately NONE of the ones you are planning to use ;)

Many of 3D's products are very good (and so is HD Car Care as well) So far, I really like these 3D offerings:

You can't go wrong trying them out. Biggest bang for the buck out there IMHO.

1 Ultra Proetctant, 2APC, 3 Bug Remover, 4 Odor Eliminator, 5 Pink Car Soap, and 6 Wash N Wax.

1 - best product of its kind.

2 - if it is the green bottle (see below) much better than most

3 - haven't tried it yet

4 - same as 3

5 - my favorite soap now

6 - same as 5 but I couldn't feel/see a difference.

Very nice gentlemen, with it being kind of a new product I wanted to see if it had some real world testing before I tired it. My main goal is to try and simplify my arsenal and make it easier on myself, and it seems these products will do just that. For those who have used the ultra protectant, do you dilute it with water at all or just use it straight. Also is it strictly an inside dressing or can it be used on tires effectively as well?

hey dave, do you prefer and like the 3D offerings more than the AM products?

May I ask what ones you ARE using and how you like them?

Of course I don't mind ;):

1) 3D final touch (quick detailer): I absolutely love this one. Fantastic qd, glowing shine, nice lubricity, good cleaning power, nice smell, no streaking! I am planning on a full review.

2) 3D waterless car wash and HD free: Great cleaning power, lovely smells, nice lubricity.... I wonder if I will be able to go back to regular washes

3) 3D ready mix glass cleaner: Excellent performance, no streaking, high clarity results and no smell. Very well rounded cleaner.

4) HD Total: Amazing cleaner, tough for the dirty jobs (tires and engine) yet gentle to be used in cockpits.

5) HD UNO: Long working time, minimal dusting, great cut, finishes very very nice and shiny, great bottle design. What else do you ask from a polish?

6) HD Poxy: Haven't tried yet

The ones that I have tried are now my new favorites. I must admit I am very very surprised on why being the products so good we never heard from them before. Yes, I know this is an elitist community, but how did we skip 3D / HD for this long? I know that if they didn't take ownership of autopia, they would still be unknown for me... Furthermore, how they manage to offer those great products at those low prices:

$16 for one gallon of one of the best, if not the best quick detailer?

$21 for a gallon of the best waterless wash available (HD free)?

$15 for a gallon of the best all around cleaner (HD total)?

Alex

The prices are nearly unbeatable, for a full load out of what I need all 1 gallon sizes im looking at just shy of $150 and thats with some extras added in there as well. I am curious how well their rotary works/holds up, for $40 its one hell of a deal. Granted I already have the PCXP which fills all my needs as a weekend warrior for now, if my business ever gets farther than family and friends ill need a rotary.

If 3D was around back when I had my shop, I'd most likely be using a combination of both lines. There are things that AM offers that 3D doesn't or their offering isn't quite as good. The same goes the other away around regarding AM.

My first experience with 3D/HD products was when I took advantage of Black Friday special...At first I was not sure about their products but after I got them and work with them I started to switch some of my old products. I have tried only their QD , degreaser and HDpoxy , I like all of them. I still keep some meguiars products like 105, 205 and soap. I wonder how is 3D's wash and wax??? If anyone tried it let me know.

As I said above, the wash and wax is my favorite soap now, but I just buy the pink soap since I didn't see any difference between the 2.

What makes it your favourite soap?

HD Poxy (hate the name) is one of the best looking LSP I've come across. :up

the lubricity, the amount of suds and how well it cleanses. the smell is just icing on the cake.

I agree with you on the poxy. Looks AAAA++++++++

POXY is a solid hit. Nice deep glossy slick finish. A little goes a long way.

I was able to use about a pea size amount on a moist foam applicator to do two doors.

Removes effortlessly. Slickness improves overnight.

Less slick then 845 or 3M Performance Finish, but pretty good. But it is wetter looking.

HD Free - Surprised how well it cleans and left a nice glossy slick finish. No streaks.

Much better than S&W. Free has more lubricity. I still like ONR for certain tasks.

HD UNO - Have not had a chance to try out yet. Waiting on the weather to get better.

HD UNO pads - look/feel high quality - See above. Decent price on them.
