Anyone use plastic razor blades for tar?

Ron @ Autoint is sending me some "New Car Prep" with my ABC order that supposedly will take tar off safely. I'll give it a shot & let you know if it's any good.

New car prep is a typically a little more agressive blend of mineral spirits and another solvent or two. You can save yourself money by just going to home depot and buying a pint of mineral spirits. 27 years in the chemical business taught me a few things. If you want to be a little more agressive, purchase a pint of Xylene (Xylol) and mix it 75% mineral spirits and 25% xylene. This should easily do the trick.

I sell a lot of the plastic razor blades but mostly for decal removal, paint over spray removal, and some stubborn tar. Try Four Star Professional Tar and Glue Remover first I would say.

I use the razor blades more for sap than tar, but they're indespensible when I run into tar that Tarminator alone won't take off. I would not use them without a solvent in conjunction, however.

I have a few old credit cards I use to remove decals.... That along with Tarminator or goo gone has done me well so far...
