This is one of the cameras Im strongly leaning towards to relace my Minolta Dimage. THe things I mainly photograph are:

cars shows/detailing (outdoors)

Car shows indoors

Tropical aquarium related stuff (moving fish, close ups of coral, etc)

PLus some general pics, vacations etc. Im not a pro, but want a camera that still has manual controls, sharp, vivid color reproductiton and a wide enought lens to take car shots without eing 30' away. So if anyone uses this camera, could you post up some pics? Thanks!

Problem is there are tons of good cameras for reasonable $$.

If you're doing a lot of indoor work, don't get a camera that has a tiny, crappy little lens. Focus on a camera with an excellent lens (small aperture) on it. I've got a hi-end Canon and a cheapie (pocket) Oly. They both get "outstanding" pictures outdoors when lighting is ample. The Oly's indoor pictures are a real disappointment when light is less than "bright".
