Anyone tried these? Proper Auto Care MF Bonnets

So, what's the verdict? I searched the site, but didn't see anything (probably missed it). Plan to only use for final removal of Zaino Z2/Z5 (easy off). I currently use MF towels (which works fine), but figured these might save a little time. And they're pretty cheap ($20 for 6). I was thinking of trying the 7 1/2 over a finishing pad (per directions) with my Flex XC3401VRG (eagerly waiting delivery :spot)

Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried *those* MF bonnets but I do like using good MF bonnets to buff off LSPs. I usually end up doing a quick second pass by hand, but the bonnets get most of it off (or you can do it the other way, once by hand and then burnish with the bonnets).

Just make sure they're soft enough. I tried some early-generatin MF bonnets that weren't soft enough for certain paints, but those look OK. CD-test 'em or something first though, just to make sure. And switch to a new one as soon as the old one *might* be loaded with product.

I do not like them for wax application or removal. I can always find streaking or wet/dry "looking" patches when they're used with any wax. Yet, for sealants they work well for my crew. I've also seen them 'shed' and the elastic tear away from the fabric.

I'm not a fan of them, but our top guy loves them on sealant's and some glazes - his results are good - yet he agrees they don't hold up well.

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone. For $20, maybe I'll give them a shot. If it was anything more than sealant, I wouldn't even bother. I'll report back on my results....

I've been using the 6.5 with a soft pad(red)backer as a final polish after I remove any wax/sealant by hand. Turns out super glossy and smooth!! Can't beat that sale price!

Ah, interesting; I use firm *cutting* pads with my bonnets.

Huh, also interesting; I do like 'em best with sealants, but I also like 'em with Collinite and Meg's #16. But you have, uhm...more variables what with your various employees using them (which might also explain why mine last forever and yours don't).

I bought a couple and used them for the last pass after removing the wax by hand. Added a nice gloss and there super soft. They do shed a little lint but that was easy to dust off.
