Anyone see/hear about meteor shower in CO?

Detail time!
Earlier this week there was an amazing meteor shower caught on tape:
Caught On Tape: Meteor Shower
I think I linked to the video right if you haven't seen it yet.
The caption:
"Streaks of light are seen across the sky from Colorado to Kansas. The Air Force says it's probably a meteor shower, and nothing harmful"

While looking for other videos of this I stumbled upon that it could have been a Russian rocket reentering the atmosphere?

Caught On Tape: Russian Rocket Causes 'Meteor Shower'

Did anyone in that area actually see this? I don't know what I'd do if I saw something like that. I would be a little freaked out thinking meteors like that were heading over the sky I was standing under. But now I read that it was a rocket reentering the atmosphere... interesting.

What does everyone think about meteors, pieces of rockets, space junk, etc. entering the atmosphere? Or pieces of metal hitting a house in NJ this week? Or just space in general?

I find space to be an amazing thing. Just to look up into the sky and see hundreds of stars baffles me thinking about the other worlds and galaxies out there. I think they (the stars, other galaxies) are there for a reason and thinking any deeper is a waste of time because the facts aren't there (from what I know...). Sure it'd be cool to know if there is life elsewhere but I like life here on Earth and as long as it keeps spinning around the sun I'd be happy . To me I think the mystery of space is what it's all about... IMO some things are meant to be left unknown.

Stuff falls out of space and the air all the time. It's an unfortunate byproduct of scientific research and technology. It's very rare that anything harms people or property though. I am amazed by space and what it could hold.
