Anyone see an issue?

Has anyone tried this?? Got it from Walmart last night for $2.67. It saids 100% on the cover but there is no cotton logo like their cotton wash mitts. Btw my local Walmart have the non-cotton Viking mitts for $2.96 I think.

I personally prefer mitts and feel much safer with them, but to each their own. With regards to whether that pad is 100% cotton, pull out a strand from the pad and burn it with a lighter or match (outdoors with a fire extinguisher on hand and preferably in the middle of a swimming pool on a windless day).

Now take a look at the bit you have left in your hand (you didn't burn any fingers off now did you? ) If it is kind of hard like melted plastic, it's not 100% cotton. If you can move it back and forth in your fingers and the ash comes off and you have only white cotton stuff left, it's most likely 100% cotton. Or so I think, I may remember wrong.

Yes, I've used it. Found, I too, preferred the mit. The mit is a bit bigger which I like it.

I have the trusty 100% cotton mitts with the cotton logo but thought I'll give this one a try. I am pretty confident it won't scratch since even the non cotton DC mitts works for me without scratch.

I think the pad would work better for some part of the car(at least my car).

Update:

Just received a personal email reply from Vikings about this Wash pads.

He assured me it is 100% cotton. Also it is being replaced with synthetic after the current supply runs out.

So stock up those cotton pads if you like them.

Of course for those with access to 100% cotton mitts it seems a more popular choice here.

I'm from the Northwoods (WI) and up here they heavily salt the roads.
(sometimes there is so much salt,it looks like snow LOL)
I'm a fan of BFWD for my DD's and was looking for some for some added protection.
Can I apply a thin layer of Collinite#845 over the BFWD,to fight back the OVER salting they do up here?

Yes, folks up your way do that due to that high salt diet the state has :Car smiley:

You can multiple coats of 845IW to top the BFWD. I would do 3 coats and call it a day. You really shouldn't put BFWD on top of 845.

I lived in Iowa for 26 years, I don't miss the salt.

Sounds like you'll be in good shape though with the advice everyone has offered.
