Anyone own a Biewer dog?

I had to look it up to see what it was... it certainly will make a good wash mitt!

A little advice on dog buying... DO NOT BUY from a pet store, find a reputable breeder who will match you with the righ pup.

lol :D

Tie mits to its feet and let it run around on the car! i bet itll cut your wash times down by 40% :chuckle:

They are cool dogs.

LOL.

I have two yorkies and although they're certainly not the most "manly" of dogs, they sure are fun to have around the house. They're very loyal and are a hoot to play with. The female (Sophie) who is two and half weighs a little over three pounds, and the male (Murphy) who is three years old is a cow weighing in at a little over ten pounds. Sophie can walk under Murphy. It's hilarious, he thinks he's just as small as Sophie, jumping up on laps all the time trying to take up little space, but he ends up clomping all around you and the surrounding furniture trying to get comfortable :rofl

I agree 1000% with Leo...Do not buy from any pet shop....they are basicly puppy mill dogs..buy from a reputable breeder and go visit the breeder and look over parents and conditions...try to line up a few breeders to look at thier pups if there is a few...then make your decision....

Fish..gerbils..hamster..rabbits are pets....A dog becomes like a child to you.. they go way beyond being a pet...

My 2 dogs are rescue dogs..and they are by far my best friends...got them both as pups..

have fun picking your new friend

Al

My friend and his girl together have two yorkies....they're fun...but myself personally I need a big dog like a golden retriever

here's "Geri" they're newest pup

That's *VERY VERY GOOD* advice :xyxthumbs

And take your time...finding the right pup for a given situation can take a while but it beats (many years of) having the wrong companion.

Dogs that small should be punted.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight....... I like all dogs, and if I saw someone punt one, they'd probably get a close up of my size 13. I can't really give good advice about purebread dogs as I have rescued all of my mutts, but I will say that I dont think ANY dog starts out bad. My friend has a pair of pitbulls that are some of the most loving animals that I've ever met.

Danase,

Whatever you do, choose the name carefully! You dont want to be walking that dog down the street calling it by some sissy name. :D

Here are my two pound puppies on the way back from TN. Somewhere on 75 South. Jinx is on the left and Murray is on the right.

Thanks everyone!

Trust me, I would like to have a "manly" dog but our house is tiny and our yard is tiny so I could not see putting a big dog that wants to run around through living in a small place.

Relax, it was a joke.

Bob,

I wish you luck in your search for a dog. I've never heard of a Biewer dog before but it definately looks cute. While small dogs may seem "girly" you will love the companionship they bring and energy.

Here is Baxton, I've had him for just about 5 months now and I have loved every minute. Stays by my side wherever I go, sleeps with me at night, loves car rides, and is a big helper when detailing. Good luck, and I can't wait too see what you guys decide on. Have you looked into West Highland White Terriers? Also great dogs, popular in the Detroit area.
