Anyone Noticed This About Paste Glaz And Souveran

OK i've been using Pinnacle Souveran for about 2 years now. I just bought a white PT Cruiser and decided to try Paste Glaz on it. After applying it however I have noticed a slight yellow tint to the finish compared to when I use Souveran on a white car.

Anyone else noticed this or am I seeing things? I can't tell any difference when in the paint tint or color when using Souveran.

You are not seeing things. What you are seeing is the very slight color tint caused by the addition of a non optically clear substance to the surface of your car.

Translation: Wax is not clear. You can see this by looking into a container of it. See how it has a white or yellow tint? But have no fear-- most people do not notice the slight color change from wax.

It isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just depends on your taste. There is no way to correct this, save going to an optically clear system like Zaino.

Wax isn't 99.9% optically perfect, but I doubt anyone will ever see a difference... especially on brand new paint.

Try this: Wipe down half of a panel with some alcohal, and try to notice if the Paste Glaz side is more yellow. If they are identical, then the paint already has a yellow tint.

If there is a difference, why don't you try Souveran if there isn't any color tint from it?

Good luck!

Coincidently...today, using my PC, I Polished my White Bronco with Meg`s Show Car Glaze and topped off with a hand application of Pinnacle paste glaz. When finished, I always look at the finish at all possible angles, in and out of the garage and I have yet to notice a yellowish tint. Sometimes I use Blitz and sometimes P. Paste Glaz and have yet to see this with either product. I get a beautiful, incredibly reflective and shiney hiney finish every time :)

However...I have yet to try the Souveran. Pehaps when the Paste Glaz is used up I will purchase it.

Most people do <strong class='bbc'>not[/b] notice any color difference in the tint of a car after waxing. It takes very sharp eyes accustomed to the finish of the car to notice things like this, but there is a change.

I guess the old timer polishing pro who once told me many years ago: The finer you get the finish, the more imperfections you will notice!

It may take very sharp and experienced eyes and these miniscule imperfections will go unnoticed by most.... but I guess their there.
