Anyone NOT Impressed With Souveran?

I wouldn't say I was unhappy it was just It didn't perform as I was led to believe. I think I expected too much. With that being said it's one of the better carnubas. I have found that Surluster performs just as good . Actually I have beem experimenting with Worlds best wax and I like it a little better than Souvran. All are super easy to use but IMO WBW has a little more shine and depth.

I just tried their new Souveran Spray Wax and loved it! It's supposed to be a stand alone. I was more impressed with this than the expensive paste wax. A LOT faster to use too.

I think Pinnacle makes great products and found several higher priced alternatives that could not compete. even those identical ones like victoria wax / trade secret were not up to its look / gloss / wetness.

CC50/50 is a nice substitute for a cheaper offering.

My car is a deep red (BMW Imola) and last summer I tried Souveran for the first time. I put on a couple of quick coats, buffed with a MF and admired my work. Quite spectacular I thought.

As I backed down the driveway, a deer stuck her head out of the silal and admired the wetness, neighbourhood kids heard the rumble approaching then stopped their road hockey game in progress and looked wide-eyed at the shine as I deeked the defensemen and idled through the forwards. 6 kids and 1 dog gave me 12 thumbs and 4 paws up and even the wife commented on how she's never seen the coupe look as spectacular as it did that day.

Maybe Souveran was just formulated for Imola red, but I'll try Victoria Concourse (thanks David!) as a comparison when the sun comes back.

Count me as someone who wasn't "blown away" by souveran. It wasn't bad, it looked good, but it just didn't provide the "OMG wet, wet, wet, roxr" look that some make it out to be. :nixweiss

Justin,

Can you elaborate a little on the Souveran Spray Wax? How would you compare the look to AW or Wolfgang sealant? What did you use the spray wax on top of?

Thanks.

souveran on dark colors is amazing for me. didnt do much for my alpine white paint but liquid souveran looked great on my car. the new DP sealant has nudged the LS out of the way though, absolute best LSP ive had on my car to date...

I have 2 jars arriving tomorrow. I have tried FMJ, Trade Secret, Pink Wax, FK1000P, S100,

Liquid Souveran, NXT, OCW, & Z-2. I am expecting it to take the shine to the next level.

I am not concerned about durability. It is a Saturday nite/Sunday cruise-- turn heads wax...

My next order is for Z-5pro & CS. I have minor scratches from washing ,etc.. but not enough to grind down some clearcoat.

I'll repost tomorrow when I get it. Raining here, and getting colder, below freezing.

But I will have to try out a test section, bumper at least. I have AZ biege metallic paint, so I am not expecting to blow away the click & brag section either.

And that's the thing I agree with about the wax vs sealent debate. I love working on my cars and who cares if a quality wax "only" lasts 2 months? I don't. To me the sealents don't look as good and definitely don't feel as good on the paint. I prefer waxes as most here seem to as well.

Even for winter, I'd rather build up 2 coats of quality wax for protection from the elements. Sure it won't last as long as a Zaino, but I think it will protect the paint better. Just reapply a coat half way into the winter. And use spray waxes as upkeep.

I have tried just about every wax ou there. P21s, Max Wax, Blackfire, Vic Red, Zymol Con. Japon, 5050, Collinite, Meg, Mothers, and all types and brands of sealants. Nothing looks as good as PS on "MY" car's finish. My opinion.

Have you received your Worlds Best Wax yet?

I was heavily disappointed by Souveran. To me #26 looked better on my old Blitz Blue Mica Scion tC. I only paid $45 for the jar, though. Maybe if I use it on a black car I'll change my mind, but for the money, its a total ripoff and doesn't do anything special. Thats my opinion.

Yes got it yesterday. I was waiting on the polycharger to come in before I tried anything else. Got my car prepped ready for a LSP. I did do a small spot with The world's best wax WBW and I was quite impressed with it. Very easy to use. Left a nice finish. My car was prepped with Men PO85RD, RMG X 2, Pin. XMT, Meg. #81 X 2, and Meg. #5 X 1. So to say it is quite wet looking is a understatement. I think the WBW has a very promising outlook.

I've used PS before on my black car (was a BMW) and since the BMW paint is wonderful to work with and shines like no other I have had, the Pinnacle looked awesome. I haven't tried it on a lighter color paint (the likes of silver/white/etc) but it looked fantastic on my black...

Does this mean that all those guys that use PS on there show cars when price is literally no object are wrong? Golly Gee!

Changeling

I don't use PS on a show car but looks are my main objective. I wax my car a least once every two weeks, QD every time it re-enters the garage. Why? Cause I enjoy car detailing. A stress reliever or so that is what I tell the wife.
