Anyone know how to remove this?

Ok so we bought a '09 Ford Escape over the summer and it has a beige interior. Well I noticed probably 5 months ago that the leather on the steering wheel had an enormous brown section on it, like dirt. I'm in college, and every time I come home I never get around to cleaning it. All I had in the garage was Ultima interior shampoo, which I know doesn't do much to remove heavy grime, but it's all I had at the moment, since all my stuff is at school. It removed the dirt, but the stained section is still there. Would like leatherique leather cleaner or something similar work on the steering wheel? I know you could always replace the leather, but I'm not too confident in my stitching ability. Lol.

Anyways, if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it, and maybe when I'm home next, I'll give it a go. Thanks.

I had the same vehicle, same color interior. As you already know, the steering wheel shows everything! I used a magic eraser lightly, and it took everything off. OPC diluted to spec for interior cleaning works as well, but not as efficiently.

Good luck!
