Anyone in South FL with an ozone machine?

My friends have a new Jeep Liberty, and someone spilled some sauce while transporting a big dish of prepared cooked fish to a pot luck dinner. Now the interior smells very strongly of fish (it actually slaps you across the face when you open the door!). The spill spot has been cleaned, but now the smell has permeated the entire vehicle. Anyone here have an ozone machine and care for a referral? Thanks.

wow, good luck with that one.

First, completely clean the interior front to back. Then clean the spill spot with a enzyme or protein killer, I am not sure what a fish spill is. Call a local janitorial supply or Top of the line and see what odor remover they recommend, as you will need a professional product.

If that does not work, take the Liberty to Jeep and have the carpet pad replaced.

Steam extraction of all the fabric.

Use an enzymatic cleaner in the water, and add white vinegar (4:1).

Apply detergent directly to the fabric, not in the extractor. Be sure to spray the headliner.

Baking soda in a large, shallow pan (like a cafeteria tray) with a small fan blowing in the enclosed car for 8 hours.

Bingo.

BMW Dealer wanted $1150 + labor to replace carpet in an MX5! Just to remove gasoline smell!

You may be able to rent an ozone machine at your local janitorial supply store. I have found one locally that rents out a machine for $45.00 a day.

On another forum this question was ask

Find the source, If the juice went under the carpet the padding has to be remove and replaced But first before putting new padding in clean the effected area [odor ban @ sam's] carpet include with cold water also wipe down the interior with the odor ban then go a pet store and buy some activated carbon they should have small bags that you could put individual amount in put one bag under the vehicle seats and the in coming fresh air vent

Thanks for all the advice everyone...I'm going to give this a try here in the next few days. I'll keep you posted on the results.
