Anyone heard of "Banoyl"?

Are these claims true?

I saw this on a Acura dealer site: http://www.hendrickacura.com/en_US/f_CustomerSupport_1.chtm

"FABRIC PROTECTION WITH BANOYL

Give every fiber in your car's interior a flexible shield of protection from stains and odors.

Our Fabric Protection repels water-based stains, including coffee and soft drinks. You simply blot the drops away with an absorbent cloth.

And unlike most other fabric treatments, your Hendrick Autoguard Fabric Protection with Banoyl safeguards your car's interior from oil and grease. Whether it's motor oil or greasy French fries, most oil-based spots simply lift off with a cloth.

For more stubborn spills and ground-in dirt, just spray the area with the Hendrick Autoguard Sudless Cleaner you'll receive. Then soak up the spot with a cloth. In minutes, your car's fabric looks new again.

In addition to keeping your fabric stain-free, our Fabric Protection also reduces the wear and tear on your interior. Your fabric will look great and last longer. "

Those claims are 100% true and have been verified by an independent panel of experts.

OK, that was sarcasm. :D :D

From what I've heard, ol Rick Hendrick buys his car care products from an old buddy in Charlotte who makes the stuff locally. Just another "bathtubber" making crud for his cronies. That description to me sounds like Scotchgard or similar. Why anyone would pay Rick Hendrick hundreds of dollars for that crap is beyond me.

Oh ok I was thinking it sounded too good to be true, but it seemed somewhat genuine since it was posted on a Acura dealer...

I just paid to get the whole hendrick autocare system. The only reason being is because they have a guarantee that if you get acid rain etching or bird dropping damage or sap damage they will pay to repaint the car. The guarantee is for 5 years so I figure its worth a few hundred. My previous car had tons of acid rain damage.

I would imagine that the guarantee stipulates that the repainting will be at their discretion and probably only after Egor takes a buffer and sand to it in order to get rid of the damage.

Well it says they will repair the damage which would probably mean a rotary first and repaint as a last resort. I don't mind regardless as long as the damage is gone.

Also I was reading over it...it also covers oxidation, loss of gloss, water damage, weather-induced peeling or cracking and fading. It doesn't cover rocks, dings, knicks, vandalism, fires, tornadoes, hail, meteors, UFO attacks, etc.
