Anyone having troubles accessing detailersassociation.com?

Yup...$50 out of $75 down the drain.

I hear that man! Worst $75 I have ever spent in my life! They kept promising everything and then complained about nobody wanting to help. I offered to help build and run their forums on many many occasions and they never took me up on the offer. I got vistaprint.com to give all PDTA members special pricing and I announced it on the forums and that was all that was done with it. It was never added to the discount page or anything. I would like to find the guy that took my money for sure though.

I had a feeling this would happen. The PDA (Professional Detailer's Association) was the same deal. Lots of promises, little follow-through.

I'm not familiar to this or any other detailer association. What was the whole idea behind them. For $75, what did you get?

So you all got scammed? Maybe its not "worth" it, but maybe you should try consider some type of action (legal would probably be more expensive than its worth I'm sure) to get your $75 back.

I remember when they first asked for the $75 I declined, thankfully. The price, IMO, was way too high. After all, SEMA charges $100 and you get a lot for that! If they would have charged $25 to start they would have gotten a lot more members and perhaps been able to survive.

I got 2 customers (3 cars) off the pdta website so my $75 was well covered, but I wish the website had looked a lot more proffesional and I bet I could have gotten 10 customers. For the last 4 or 5 months the website hasn't even been up. I wonder what's going to happen to all of our money now, I'm sure they didn't have very many expenses. How many members did it have at its peak? 50? 100?
