Anyone have any experience w/ Muscle Gloss?

Went to a home show last weekend and saw several garages with a product called "Muscle Gloss" applied to the floors. Very impressed with the look, finish and feel. I'm just wondering about durability. Comes w/a 10 year warranty if professionally installed against most reasonable things including hot tire pick up. Haven't been able to find any reviews on the net so far.



The stuff isn't cheap. Local dealer is quoted @ $3.75/sq.ft. But if it's as good as it seems I'm willing to pony up the cash. I'd just feel better knowing others have gone this route and have been happy with the result.

GS400, have you looked at Rustoleum Epoxy? Not the stuff you buy at Home Depot, but the Industrial version--there's one place online that I know that will sell it to non-contractors. It doesn't come with flecks and only comes in one color, but it's supposed to be really good stuff. Check out www.garagejunkies.net for a review.



Edit: Rustoleum Industrial DOES come with flecks, but the epoxy only comes in gray--I just ordered it. I also ordered some pigment from delviesplastics.com to hopefully turn the gray epoxy into a pearl white color.

No I haven't I didn't realize there was an industrial version. I like the idea of other colors than gray, but if the price is right I might consider it.



Muscel gloss is offered as a diy if you buy it from their website. I'm just wondering how much prep work would be involved. At some point it'd be worth it to pay some one for the install, including prep. Not to mention the 10 year warranty.
 
It all depends on how much you're willing to put in to it! Typical prep should be throughly sweep and vacumn area. Acid etch with muratic acid and flush with lots of wate to nuetrilize the acid. Squeegy dry or blow dry with a leaf blower. Let bare concrete completly dry for a few day and then paint. If you have a coat of paint down already like I do, you will need to scuff the paint with 100 grit sand paper as well.



I watched the guy do my old floor and it took him the better part of one day to just clean. I used a Benjamin Moore Industrial Paint and it has held up OK but now that I have the addition finished I think I'm going to go over the existing and new concrete with either U-Coat-It or the Industrial Sherwin Williams product. You can mix the Sherwin Williams to what ever color you want and from what I've heard so far, it holds up well. I just wish they had the color chips to add like the U-Coat-It and Rustoleum as I like that look.



Again, it all depends on how good the prep work was done!!!
