Your opinions, it's just to wash my cars and how loud are these too? Thanks!

From Lowes (Karcher 1600 and 1300 psi)

From HomeDepot (Husky 1650 psi)

I've got one of the karcher HD ones (over $1200) and its not bad at washing the car. it doesn't get it really clean by itself but its good for getting most of the dirt off the car before you go at it with the brush/mitt. i find the biggest difference is when doing the wheel wells where the dirt really builds up.

also works wonders on teh driveway after you wash.

They're not really that loud. i find mine to be about the same amount of noise as the PC on a high speed. what i would recommend is getting something from the HD line because they use brass fittings instead of plastic and you get about 35ft of high pressure hose which means you can do the whole car without moving the machine.

You read my mind, the wheel wells are hard to get to since the gap is so limited compared to an SUV where a brush would fit. Thanks for the insight, but $1200 is not what I want to spend, something like $169 for the Husky or Kracher is for me. :xyxthumbs

I have the Karcher 1600 from Lowes and it works great. I use it to wash the car, deck, house and my boat. Definitely worth the price. I have only had it for a year so I can't say how long it'll last.

I agree with jeremyp111.

I have the same unit and use it for my "spring cleaning" to clean my engine compartment, under carriage and wheel wells to get all the winter salt and crud off the car.

Not as powerful as a gas model I used to rent at Home Depot, but it's really handy to have it available at a moments notice for cleaning around the house.

I bought mine at Lowe's as well.

I have a Campbell Hausfeld 1750 psi that I use mostly in the winter. It came with 2 wands one a turbo wand for decks and driveway cracks and one that is adjustable for use on cars.I use it once in a while in the winter on the cars as I can adjust the tip so it fans out pretty good and has less pressure to do damage to the paint. It's either that or a touch less car wash,so it's the lesser of 2 evils here when it's to cold to wash by hand.It does a decent job on the salt and sand in the wheel wells and under carriage.

I have exactly the same Campbell Hausfeld model. Alredy used it on my badly neglected deck(with the turbo nozzle) and it came out great. Also use it around the house and occasionally on the car. Great all-around tool.

My family has that Karcher 1600 which they got from Costco for $139 (same as Lowe's @ $169) and it works great on driveways, siding, decks, AND wheel wells and wheels. Really great on wheel wells and wheels. Not loud at all, you could use it up to 9:30pm all day long and I doubt anyone would complain.
