Anyone have a Dremel hand tool ?

I never thought of it but I can use the Dremel instead of the 1000 Q-tips and alcohol to remove the UGH wax around the emblems.

I build R/C models, so I've had a Dremel for years. It is extremely versatile. Should be great for polishing small metal bits.
<strong class='bbc'>Strong Warning[/b] - the Dremel with a little polishing wheel can build up heat <strong class='bbc'>in an instant[/b]. Much, much quicker than a rotary buffer. And even after all these years, I still slip with it on ocassion.
joed1228 - I would strongly advise you to NOT use the Dremel to get the residue off near your emblems and other touch spots. Stick to the q-tips. You could burn throough your paint in an eye-blink.
And I would advise not to use it anywhere where there is a chance of slipping onto the paint. Sometimes the wheel will grab a surface all of a sudden and it will move many inches before you can react.

My dad has a Dremel, and I use it for when I build a sub box to grind out imperfections in the wood. I also use it to grind rust off of hunting knives. I never thought about using it for the car except maybe to bore out speaker opeings for bigger ones. It is a handy little tool.
I have a Dremel..... Used it in Podiatry school to grind thickened or fungus toenails 
Traded up to high speed cord drill from Emesco for the regular treatment rooms and a very expensive electric surgical drill/saw set for the OR. I still have the Dremel and bought the Dremel polishing kit at Walmart cuz I am thinking about tackling some curb rash on a wheel or two. I wonder if that is covered by Medicare??

BTW, we use a lot of Dremels at work for trimming strain gages (didn't realize they worked on toenails too!!)
